Marilyn's love of bold, vibrant color is reflected in her artwork. She loves painting and teaches workshops to encourage others.
Coming from a family of musicians, doll makers, quilters, and needlework artisans, Marilyn has always had an appreciation for various art forms. However, it wasn't until after her 50th birthday that she began to paint. She originally worked in acrylics, then later expanded into watercolors and became an instructor. She paints landscapes, florals, exotic birds, and many other subjects. Her work has been displayed at art galleries, art shows, fairs, and in art and gift shops. Marilyn paints on paper, as well as on watercolor canvas to create the look of an oil painting, and she does commission work.
Marilyn also designs hand-crafted jewelry and exhibits her designs locally.
