"Watercolor Workshops for Fun"

Marilyn teaches workshops for beginning and intermediate level artists in Howard County, Maryland. Workshops are three hours long during which participants see painting demonstrations and learn watercolor techniques which they apply while completing their own paintings during step-by-step instruction. Subjects and sizes for the projects are varied to cover a wide range of interests.
This is an excellent way to have fun while learning to create a painting of your own - even beginners are surprised and delighted with what they are able to accomplish. If you have a desire to be creative, and want to develop your own talent for painting - enroll in a workshop!
Workshops are scheduled monthly at two county Senior Centers - East Columbia 50+ Senior Center and The Bain Center. See "Newsletter" page for dates of upcoming workshops and pictures of scheduled paintings.

Registration and Fees
The fee is $30 per workshop. Howard County Senior Centers charge a processing fee of $3 for each workshop. All supplies are provided.
Advance Registration is required for all workshops to allow time for preparation. Call the Senior Centers directly to register at their locations. Registration for other workshops (such as "Art on Saturday") can be done via PayPal on this website.

"Art on Saturday Workshops" are scheduled periodically. To register for "Art on Saturday Workshop", pay the fee using PayPal below. Your registration puts you into the system, and you will receive a PayPal confirmation.

Supplies
All supplies are provided for Watercolor Workshops For Fun. The supplies information provided here is for beginners. One list includes those items that are specific to watercolor painting and the second list includes miscellaneous items found in most homes.
Specific Watercolor Supplies
Watercolor Paints (set of colors)
Brushes (approximately 4 of varied sizes)
Watercolor Paper (130 lb, cold pressed)
Palette
Graphite Paper (greaseless/wax free
Natural Sponge
Foam Core Board (or similar backer)
Miscellaneous supplies:
Blue painter’s tape
Container for water
Pencil
White Eraser
Stylus (or similar tool )
Ruler (optional)
Spray bottle (optional)
Salt (optional)
Beginner's Kits:
To assist first-timers attending my workshops, a Beginner's Kit is available that will include watercolor supplies for several paintings. It can be purchased below for a one-time fee of $27.50. Beginner's Kit wanted for a specific workshop should be purchased in advance and will be on hand at the workshop.

Watercolor greeting card painting packets can also be purchased via PayPal. Each set contains instructions and supplies to paint four (4) different paintings - all you need are watercolor paints and brushes. Packets are $20.00 each.
